Book One
A Targaryen History
I loved this book.
I don’t know if it’s because I love history in general, or the
world that George RR Martin created, or even both, but I couldn’t get enough of
learning about the history of Westeros and beyond.
Not surprised these characters are engaging and leaving me in
tears after I grew attached to them, but I did. Damn you GRRM, you did it
again.
Not only was I hooked with the story, but I was also in love with
the artwork. Doug Wheatley did an amazing job of capturing the story in these
beautiful images.
Even though I want Winds of Winter to finally be published, I
actually wouldn’t complain if he comes out with the next book in this series.
Well, I might complain a little, it has been years and centuries for even a
snippet of Winds of Winter.
In conclusion, if you love GRRM and this world, and if you don’t
mind reading a history book, then I highly recommend Fire & Blood. It’s a
bit slow to get into, but once you are in, you will never want to leave.
